The Ukiah sewage treatment plant was going off yesterday morning with hundreds of Vaux’s swifts and swallows, including northern rough-winged swallows. The hundreds of ducks included four pairs of lesser scaup. There were a bunch of shorebirds, including avocets, stilts, killdeer, two gorgeous breeding plumage, greater yellowlegs, and over a dozen least sandpipers. I also saw one great-tailed grackle around the southeast pond. Amazing morning!
