Just wanted to share some birding experiences from my recent 12-day trip to Utah and Arizona. We drove through nine states on this round trip. While revisiting national parks and many other places, adding a birding component brought great excitement and resulted in 49 lifers with pictures, all but two of which are rare or never seen in Iowa. The last one, two loggerhead shrikes, became my 278th Iowa lifer and was found at a location on Y Ave in Dallas County. Thanks to John Bissell for the information. Attached are a few of them.
