Subject: Sunday at Hi Lonesome
It was a gray and kind of misty/rainy day at Hi Lonesome today, but it was
more birdy than last month.
The Henslow's are back!!
The area where the prairie was burned is now a lush, bright green carpet.
Lovely.
The other birds were also predictable: Field Sparrow, Red-winged Blackbird,
Eastern Bluebird, Rough-winged Swallow, Tree Swallow, Eastern Towhee,
Northern Cardinal, and Brown Thrasher, and a new species for the prairie:
House Sparrow. Ugh.

Happy Birding,
Marge Lumpe
Benton County
