Nick BolgianoVisitors:Julian's ornithology class came up to the mountain
today for a couple of hours.Weather:Sunny with 17-21mph SE winds for the
first few hours, shifting to 15-19mph S winds in the afternoon. Low of 4℃,
high of 21℃.Raptor Observations:1 GOEA spotted today.*
*adult: 14:11*

*Other migrating raptors include 2 OSPR, 2 BAEA, 11 RTHA, 2 BWHA, 3 SSHA, 1
COHA, and 2 AMKE.*

*Raptor migration was not as strong today as predicted, but we did have a
nice diversity throughout the day. Our GOEA of the day was an adult which I
was a little surprised to see this late in the season.*

*66 loons seen today, a high count for the season. Most were distant, but
we did have 1 group of 22 fly directly overhead.*

*We also had 7 DCCO, 2 GBHE, and 5 RBGU. Not too many passerine flyovers
with just 1 AMRO, 1 BHCO, 1 AGOL, and 1 HOFI.*

*We spotted a CORA flying low through the powerline cut carrying a flying
squirrel in its bill. Weird but kind of fun.*

*Predictions:Sunny with low SSW winds in the morning gradually shifting to
moderate WSW winds by the end of the day. Uncertain what the raptor
migration will look like tomorrow. It could be a decent day, but the past
couple of days should have in theory been better
days.------------------------------Report submitted by Thomas Filip
