Subject: [EBB-Sightings] Black-headed Grosbeak, Common Murre and an Allen's Hummingbird
A Black-headed Grosbeak showed up on my bird feeder in North Berkeley around noon today. In the summer, these are easy to hear and difficult to see or photograph just over the hill in Tilden. Then I was out at Stege Marsh and a birder pointed out a Common Murre was in the bay. I ended up succeeding in photographing a Rufous/Allen’s Hummingbird in the Pride of Madera blossoms along Meeker Slough. Most likely an Allen’s but the photograph is not definitive.
