- Comments: "Medium-sized diving duck with rusty-red head, black breast, and gray back, and a steep, blocky forehead. Found in the smaller lake on northside of trail at entrance to boardwalk. Ironically, another pair of Redheads were seen in the same place last year around the same time. Photos by Luke Jensen."

- Comments: "Adult male. Tiny hummer with lovely streaked rosy gorget. Short, squarish tail. Bright white around base of bill/gape. White chest. Green and buffy belly and vent. White patch behind eyes. Seen fly past into mid-park bottlebrush while I was very patiently examining the various waves of the hummingbird swarm. Seen a little while after spotting Black-chinneds. Location of calliope: 35.2678838,-120.6618018 photo"

- Comments: "Continuing bird singing “teacher teacher teacher teacher teacher.” The song progressively got louder and ended abruptly. Heard sing 2-3 times while facing east on bridge overlooking creek. The finder (mystery birder) was around and noted that was the bird. Mystery birder also mentioned the warbler also called when originally found, though it didn’t call for us later. Bird was not seen. No recording."
