Hello All!
It's starting to feel like spring has officially sprung in Connecticut! We're already receiving reports of warblers and birds we often associate with warmer weather.
The COA Workshop Committee is excited to present a new educational presentation. We invite you to join us on Zoom on April 16th at 6:30pm to learn more about the Avian Records Committee of Connecticut (ARCC). ARCC is one of the COA's biggest contributions to avian research and local knowledge.
The presentation will be led by Frank Mantlik (ARCC Chair) and Phil Rusch (ARCC Co-Secretary). The workshop will focus on the purpose and function of ARCC, the efforts being led by ARCC Committee members to better understand historical rare bird encounters, available resources, and how the Connecticut birding community can contribute via Rare Bird Reports. We're also excited to discuss some of Connecticut's exciting rare records.
The Workshop is free and open to the public, but you must register ahead of time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at <workshops...>
Happy Birding! Corey, COA Secretary Chester
