Had a Brown Thrasher singing its musical, paired notes inthe top of our tall cherry tree during the morning spring rain. I enjoy the early singing of the Cardinalsand Robins, but I feel the thrasher heralds spring like no other bird. I can see that the numerous April eBirdchecklists with thrashers documents that they have arrived in big numbers.Bill Franz / Newville
