Hello and thank you for your interest in the Western and
Clark's Grebe Nesting Survey! We greatly appreciate your interest and
willingness to contribute to this project.
Western and Clark's Grebes continue to face population decline and loss of
breeding habitat throughout their range. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service is leading a cooperative survey to inform conservation of Western
and Clark’s Grebes throughout their western breeding range. With the data
you help collect, we will assess the current distribution and nest colony
success. Ultimately, we hope these results will better inform future
conservation efforts.
Adonia and I will be hosting four training sessions (invites will be sent
out following this email) where we will go over the survey methods and data
entry using the Survey123 form. We will be covering the same information
in all four sessions so please attend whichever works best for you. *Please
feel free to forward the invitations to anyone else you think might be
interested in participating.* You are not required to participate in
the training sessions in order to contribute to the survey, these are
merely to provide an overview of the survey methods and data entry.
