Visitors: Julie Leonard and I ran the watch today. Visitors included Jane Ross, Daryl Nolt, Andrea, and Mark Lethaby.
Weather: Rain showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then some sun and heat by midday with strong SW wind.
Raptor Observations: After the rain ended at 1030 EST the clouds started to break up, and birds began to fly in earnest. Large kettles of TVs formed to the west and drifted well over the lake. A few more hawks, but still short of what is expected at this time of year. The flight shut down when stormy weather returned by mid-afternoon.
Non-raptor Observations: Tree and Barn swallows, European Starling, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, American Crow, Ring-billed and Herring gull, Canada Goose, Wood Duck
