Our local Conservation District recommends this stuff called Sawyer Spray that you spray on your clothing that is supposed to kill ticks and other insects on contact with your clothing. You spray it on and let it dry for 2 hrs. before wearing and it lasts for over a month and through several washings. I've been using it for 2 yrs. and haven't had a problem with ticks when I wear the sprayed clothing. It comes in a yellow spray bottle and you can get it on line or in outdoor stores.
