Hello Birders!
I wanted to share an opportunity for further learning. This will be the
18th year for Field Ornithology at the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary! There
are ways to join us in-person or online over Zoom. Please share!
*Field Ornithology Course registration is now OPEN!*
- Birding Basics and Birding Apps
- Raptors in Flight
- Sparrows
- Warblers and bird song
*Lectures*:* 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays; April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
*The second half of in-person lectures will consist of either a bird ID
presentation or an outdoor excursion on the Sanctuary grounds to practice
and develop identification skills using sight, sound, habitat and
behavioral clues.
*Field trips:* 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturdays, April 11 and May 2
*Course fees and registration:*
*Full Course (in-person lectures and field trips)* — Sanctuary members
$155, non-members $190. These prices reflect a $10 discount when you
register for the Full Course!
*Online lectures only *— Sanctuary members $30, non-members $45.
*In-person Saturday field trips only* — Sanctuary members $30, non-members
$45.
