Yes, sadly, the males are out and about, hungry.  Females are hopefully still in their dens with their young.  A very large male came the other day at 9:30 pm - I'd brought in all the feeders but one - of course he found it.

We woke up this morning to see our backyard feeder pole completely toppled and bent out of shape.  Doubt that a raccoon could do this, or even a bobcat.  Anybody else have apparent bear incidents in this area.
