After several calls, Howell Nature Center could take the bird and the Humane Society sent someone out to capture it. It could walk pretty fast, so keeping track of a brown bird in an oak woods with brown leaves everywhere got tricky, but if it can be helped, it's in good hands now. Thanks everyone.
