Subject: [BostonBirds] 3/19 Pileated Woodpecker and Fox Sparrows in West Roxbury, Etc.
I birded in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Brook Farm, and Millennium Park from 12:00-6:00.

Great Blue Heron 3+
Wood Duck 5
Hooded Merganser 4
Green-winged Teal 8 1st bridge in Brook Farm (what people erroneously call Millennium Park! Go figure!)
Ring-necked Duck many C.I.P.
Common Merganser 2
Red-shouldered Hawk 1 heard at edge of Jewish Cem.
Red-tailed Hawk 1
MERLIN 1 a bit after football field if heading to woodpecker corner
very large bird 1 raptor or vulture
PILEATED WOODPECKER 1 female near that large lone dirt/weed mound in the Brook Farms woods (between Jewish and The Gardens Cemeteries)
Northern Flicker 2+
Hairy Woodpecker 1+
Eastern Phoebe 1 B.F.
Common Raven 2
Fish Crow 13
Golden-crowned Kinglet 1 B.F.
Eastern Bluebird 2 B.F. in marsh
FOX SPARROW 7 six in no man's land; one edge of cemetery.
White-throated Sparrow 11 B.F. and cemetery
Swamp Sparrow 1
American Tree Sparrow 1
Song Sparrow 40+ mostly in cemetery
RUSTY BLACKBIRD 2 along Ruins Trail at edge of river; fwo males flying around/chasing each other
Brown-headed Cowbird 17
