This afternoon between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. I was surprised to see three Canvasbacks (2 m., 1 f.) diving in the pond at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, along with a single female Bufflehead. Also present were seven Mallards (6 m., 1 f.) and six Canada Geese (many more geese were out and about on the lawns).
