Checked out Utley Marsh this morning with a few other birders and the sandhill cranes apparently have left. Lots of wood ducks, black ducks, hooded Merganser, a few green winged teal, and a lonely ring-necked duck in the marsh.
Interestingly, on my way to the Rec park, I came across a ring-necked pheasant running alongside Route 66 Near West Rd. in Columbia. First one I’ve seen in a while since I moved away from the Bristol Fish and Game area where they stocked probably hundreds every year.
