3/11 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center. 10am-1PM. sunny, 50-58F, mid tide-receding. Many visitors at the center today-photographers, first time visitors. We are starting to plan for our Return of the Osprey gala on April 25. On the marsh: 20 Canada Geese, 2 Gadwall, about 20 American Black ducks, 36 Buffleheads, 4 Hooded mergansers, 8 Red breasted mergansers, 2 mallards, and many gulls. On the grounds & feeders: 6 Pigeons, 3 Song sparrows, 14 House sparrows, 4 Cardinals, 2 Robins, 6 Mourning doves, 1 Mockingbird, 7 Common grackles, 3 Red winged blackbirds, 3 House finches, 1 American Crow, 2 Tufted titmice, 3 Blue jays.
