I was working down in Louisiana when I first started to really get into
birding. The waterways were filled with birds and Blue-winged Teals were a
common and often daily sight as we traveled from the area near Pecan Island
out to the Gulf of Mexico.

Always a delight to see one of those beautiful birds here in Connecticut!
Thanks to all who shared about it's presence at Hammonasset. It was still
foraging in the puddles near Shelter 2 when I visited today around 2pm.
