10 March 2026, This is a reminder to all who have nestboxes … make sure that they are cleaned out. I am still in the process of cleaning mine. As you can see from the photos the prior year’s nest building can bring a new nest up close to the hole where jays or other predators can reach in and snag the adult, eggs, or young. Good birding.
