Subject: [CT Birds] Re: a Classy mis-ID
I had the opposite experience once. I was birding along the embankment of a coastal marshland when I looked into a bush and saw a small grey body with two eyes looking directly at me. For a split-second I thought "Cat" - then the 'cat' leapt out of the bush to spread its long wings and show the white rump of a harrier! (Since this was in England, strictly a 'Hen Harrier').
