Subject: [CT Birds] Re: Red-winged Blackbird
Not seen any in "my patch" in New Milford since January and early February, when huge mixed flocks of blackbirds (80-100) descended several times on my feeders - mostly grackles, very few red-winged blackbirds, plus cowbirds and starlings.  One lone gloriously iridescent male grackle last week - definitely an outlier.  Shall check two local swamps today.
