Second year male Bullocks Oriole was drinking at my pond and hiding in the trumpet vine. It seemed to be sheltering from the high winds. Started foraging in the trumpet vine and Virginia creeper, not successfully as far as I could see. Crown and back with gray streaks. Throat patch small but clear. Throat and chest more orange with yellow streaks, belly yellowish and paler. Median coverts with more reduced white tips. 25 minute observation. Potter Highlands is an urban neighborhood just west of Downtown.
