- Comments: "Seen clearly and photograph. Noticed red eyeshine on road from a ways out. Stayed on road immediately in front of us. One of several times that I suspected seeing this species in this location, but this time was able to confirm and document. I suppose it may be “rare” for them to overwinter in this area but that may no longer be true."

- Comments: "Continuing, perched upright on a fence post in open habitat. Make bright red head and underparts contrasting with dark wings. Made short sallies to catch insects and returned to the same perch."

It looks to be molting into adult male plumage. No doubt to ID. Previously reported. Found on children’s play structure in park."
