We lived in Dexter Twp for 34 years, and always had bird feeders. Had both sharp-shinned and Cooper’s hawks occasionally be successful preying on birds on or near feeders. Yes, the hawks have to eat too, and they miss many times more than they are successful based on my experience. JohnMullett TwpCheboygan County
