Well, the number would have to be in the tens of thousands or more likely
hundreds of thousands. It's hard to imagine catbirds in such numbers.
Lesser Scaup might be possible, but that does seem a little late in spring.
Perhaps a swallow--TRSW or NRWS? If the count were from October, I'd
certainly pick Northern Rough-winged Swallow. I remember several October
days with almost unimaginable numbers of rough-wings streaming west
throughout the day. I've not seen such numbers in spring, but....
