Thank you to Wendi McKeown for reminding me about the MCAS ZOOM
presentation about the Long Billed Curlews - a Species of Special Concern,
presented by Heather Hayes, a biologist from the Intermountain Bird
Observatory. Here is the link: LBCU ZOOM
<https://youtu.be/Q_d_KNDa38A?si=UsEc8op6_rl2OCl_>
The ZOOM was held during the early days of covid- before the IBO lost their
LBCU funding. Heather was a presenter at the 2025 Morro Bay Bird Festival,
so some of you may have seen her then. She was very excited to be here, and
she did get to see Dozer!
Happy birding,
Carol Comeau
