Subject: Re: no sighting - bird magazines
If you have no takers, consider contacting your closest elementary or middle school. A lot of times the teachers, especially the art teachers, like to have magazines with a lot of big flashy pictures (Birds and Blooms, e.g.) for kids to use in projects, and science teachers may use the articles as the basis for assignments and such. Also, private schools with much smaller attendance than public schools often don't have the resources or the depth in their libraries and may welcome some of the magazines you have.
