I can’t stress enough how happy I was with Feather Friendly. It’s an affordable product comes in rolls like tape and has tiny square reflective stickers that birds can see. You have to apply from outside of window. Yes, you can see them on the window but the trade off was worth it and my experience was incredible.
We used to live in a house with large bay windows overlooking the water and lots of trees and shrubs. I used to hear birds hit that window at least once a day especially if I was putting bird seed out or if a hawk was around and chasing them. I buried more than one that likely suffered head and neck trauma from the collisions.
However, In the 3 plus years that followed me applying the stickers, I went from at minimum daily strikes, to only one in 3 years! And that was due to a hawk chasing a bird who likely flew into it in a panic.
I’m always glad to hear when people are looking to find ways to address this. I believe the website is simply: Featherfriendly.com
Pretty sure you can also purchase from Amazon . As I recall it was about $25 for a roll or 2? It’s been a few years so not certain but was money very well spent. The stickers adhered the whole time and I never had any problems with them.
