- Comments: "Immature bird with thick bill, light yellow feathers under the bill, and almost no white markings on wings. Darker patch behind eye visible. Presumably continuing bird from sighting by Edell & Zachary on 2/6/26. Perched completely still on a branch above lagoon across from ethnobotany garden just north of RV sites. Photo through binoculars. I didn’t have my camera because rain was threatening."

- Comments: "Regularly eBird-reported species since 9/21/25.
Boldly streaked black and white pattern; black upperparts with white streaks; grayish-white face; white eyering; eyeline starting behind the eye; black crown with broad white center stripe; broad white supercilium; white throat and underparts; black streaks on the flanks; black spots on the undertail; two white wingbars; sharply pointed bill. --- In a single tree across from the oak grove at the intersection, where the two paths come together, west of the playground."
