This morning there was a decent count of 174 Short-billed (Mew) Gulls at NCOS. This is undoubtedly an under count as I counted only the birds I was sure of and not ones that were partially hidden or sleeping. There were smaller numbers of Ring-billed, California, and Western Gulls. There was one Glaucous-winged Gull.
