Subject: [BostonBirds] 2/15 Jamaica Plain Warblers, Raptors, Ducks, etc.
I walked to Leverett Pond, then Willow Pond, Ward's Pond, then the circuit of Jamaica Pond. I then returned to my starting point and beyond to the Muddy River. The warblers were quite a surprise. Unless noted, all birds from the ponds area.

Great Blue Heron 2 including one on Muddy River extremely close to Leverett Pond
Mute Swan 7 including two Muddy River opposite Longwood Station
Green-winged Teal 2
Ring-necked Duck 5 including three Riverway (Muddy River)
Common Merganser 2
BALD EAGLE 1 adult soaring in distance (seen from Jamaica Pond Boat House)
Sharp-shinned Hawk 1
Red-tailed Hawk 2 a juvenile with beautiful white face at Wards Pond
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1 Leverett Pond adult
Hairy Woodpecker 1 Wards Pond
Brown Creeper 1 Wards Pond
Carolina Wren 2 Wards Pond
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER 1 at suet feeder Jamaica Pond Perkins St. side
PINE WARBLER 1 bitto
Dark-eyed Junco 6 Wards Pond
Northern Cardinal 2 Wards Pond
American Goldfinch 4 Wards Pond
