Subject: [CT Birds] Red-shouldered Hawk
In an effort to keep my crows happy & viewable, I routinely put out peanuts
& other goodies on the platform feeder. I give them a whistle as I approach
the feeder, then go back inside. Lately my whistles & goodies have brought
in a Red-shouldered Hawk that frequently beats the crows to the table.
Today it was cooked chicken. This has been occurring for about a month now.
The other day he/she came down for a drink from the heated bird bath.
Is this behavior odd for a hawk?
