Subject: [southbaybirds] Wild Turkey on Los Gatos Creek
Hi Everyone,

I know turkeys aren't rare, but in the 30 plus years I've lived in this
area I've never seen one down here. I heard it a couple of weeks ago
briefly. This morning I heard it again, and Merlin picked it up. On the way
back from my walk between Bascom Ave and Leigh, it gobbled again further up
stream, and then there it was, not a stones throw from the Bascom Ave
overcrossing.

I figured it must have taken a wrong turn somewhere? Has anyone seen a
turkey in this area before? I'm curious.

Happy birding,
Dorothy Johnson
San Jose
