If you are interested in participating in the seawatch program at Point Conception from late March to late April, please let me know. This is an on-going research project that monitors the coastal bird migration of loons, scoters, brant, shorebirds, gulls, terns and alcids.
Note that reaching the Point Conception lighthouse requires descending and ascending a flight of 120 stairs with quite a deep pitch. There is a requirement for participants to do at least two watches.
