Greetings,
Thanks to our combined efforts, we have again exceeded the previous week's completion rate! Highlights include:
* A whopping 55 species observed at Old Coach Rd riparian, including a big flock of Wild Turkeys, a Greater Roadrunner, and a Canvasback * Good numbers of visible Cassin's and Purple finches on Mt. Laguna * Mountain Quail on Palomar Mountain
For the first week of February we have 10 hotspots nearing completion, including one that just needs this upcoming week (noted in bold red text below).
As always, if you'd like to contribute, simply submit a Complete eBird checklist from any of the hotspots listed here for the given week. If multiple people submit lists from the same spot, the data will be even better, so don't worry about doubling up. The map link shows the hotspot locations and if you tap on a marker, a hyperlink to the eBird page for the hotspot is provided for your convenience (there you can see recent visits under Recent Checklists if you wish).
