Subject: [CT Birds] Big January manual submissions due 2/2
Thank you to all who participated in the BIG JANUARY event for COA.

Remember: If you use eBird to submit all of your observations, there is no
need to supply them directly to us unless you want to manually report your
count for a single city/town. Our Big January team will pull the data from
eBird.

Please email <coa-info...> to let us know if you are in one of
the youth categories. If you do not use eBird, please keep a record of
where and when you first observed each species throughout the month and
forward the total results to our team at <coa-info...> Please
note, the deadline for manual reports is February 2, 2026.

We are now listing eBird's top 100 in the State and each County on the COA
website at https://www.ctbirding.org/events/big-january/.

All those who reached 100 species or more will be emailed a commemorative
certificate. The individuals with the highest count in the state, per
county and in one location will also win a prize.

Congratulations to all who got out and contributed to this documentation of
winter bird life in Connecticut.

Good Birding!
