Both yesterday (Jan 27) and today (Jan 28), at exactly the same time,
3:42pm, I saw a Brown Creeper at the northern end of Vista de Vizcaino.
Yesterday I'd made the mistake of not bringing a camera, one I did not
repeat today!
Both days I saw it up high in the tall trees, including Eucalyptuses.
But today I told another birder about the creeper, and while I was
birding the in the Salt Marsh (judging from his description when I
talked to him again later) between about 3:20 and 3:35pm he saw the
creeper in the smaller Cherry Blossom trees.
At 3:48pm at the same location, there was a flyover of 3 American White
Pelicans. This is the first time I've ever seen them this close to home;
previously the closest had been Harbor Park.
There was a Clark's Grebe inside the Salt Marsh yesterday, and it may
have still been around today outside the salt marsh, but today I spent
more time concentrating on refinding the brown creeper.
