Hi, Leslie,
The crows aren’t seasonally migrating. They roost on the IU Bloomington campus and I’m told at a few other places around town during the winter. They head out in the mornings to feed and return to town in the evenings to roost together. I live south of the campus, so I often see them heading southward in the early a.m. and then northward in the late afternoon. A friend who lives near campus told me that she and her husband have counted over 1000 individuals streaming by in what they call the “crow show."

When opening the window blinds on Monday morning, I noticed the crow stream passing over, flying from the east and heading south to southwest. I started counting individually, but quickly switched to counting by 10s. After 5 minutes or so, I had witnessed 580 crows passing by.
All birds reported below were seen or heard from my home.
