FYI for the last 2 years the Friends of Hammonasset has sponsored a feeding station behind the nature center. The addition of a heated bird bath has been especially attractive even in this cold weather. A dedicated group of dedicated volunteers fill the feeders,and clean and refill the birdbath. If you would like to help feed the birds, support FOH, (www.hammonasset.org/membership) or when you are buying your seed at the Audubon shop, put some money on the FOH account there.
