Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Cape May Warbler - Solana Beach
This morning there was a male CAPE MAY WARBLER in a tipu tree on the east side of the 101 in Solana Beach, near here:

(32.9963628, -117.2729095)

When present it tended to stay low in the tree and was fairly confiding. It disappeared from the tree at least once for more than 20 minutes before eventually returning again for several minutes before flying southward down the row. There was also a TENNESSEE WARBLER in Tipus along the same road, just north of Solana Vista.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://sandiegofieldornithologists.org/san-diego-county-avian-records-database/.
