The red-throated pipit originally found a couple days ago by Adrian Hinkle was still present Sunday morning at around 10:00 a.m. But at a new location. The original spot at South Clairemont Community Park had a fair amount of disturbance with free running dogs and a bunch of people enjoying a Sunday morning in the sun, and so no more than five or six pipits were ever seen there at one time and only occasionally. The new site, which is a known pipit hangout, is farther to the West on the other side of Clairemont boulevard along Ute and it's the Clairemont High School where you can scan the edge of the baseball field from the side of the road, and also just past that is it a small area of unkept grass where pipits hang out as well. Today, the red-throated was with Americans along the edge of the baseball Field.
