If they (some) could be frozen that would be good. And contact Dr. Rebecca Hardman, FWC Veterinarian. She is looking at avian and other groups pathogens.

A friend in Appalachicola has been observing cowbirds in her yard behaving strangely and some dying. "They puff up their feathers and remain that way. Come to the ground to feed and return to a nearby bush." After a couple of days they are found dead. Has been observed on warm and cold days.
