At least twice the Vermillion has flown from the peninsula of willows where it appears as a red speck, into the trees in the water directly behind the church and cemetery. That's how the closer photos are being taken.

Hi birders. A quick question on the College Lake Vermillion Flycatcher.

If the spot to view from is across the lake behind the church or cemetery, then how are people getting semi-close photos of the bird against the sky? Where were you birding from? It is painstaking scoping otherwise.
