- Comments: "Saw this guy nabbing insects from his perch. His entire face and front were bright red with black band that started just behind the eyes and widened towards the back of the head. Dark wings and back. Just a beautiful bird! A lifer for me and a first for the District. I got some decent photos that I will share. Amazing!!!"

Not sure what tree. Pale yellow overall calling constantly. Lost it after about 10 minutes before I could get any pics."
