Subject: [pen-bird] Striking Glaucous Gull at Pilarcitos Creek Mouth on 1/16/25
Hi All,
Yesterday morning I found a strikingly pale almost pure white Glaucous Gull in the fairly large group of gulls at Pilarcitos Creek Mouth.
So white that I was wondering if it was possibly an Albino or Leucistic bird of another species. Malia put photos out to the Gull group and the unanimous verdict was a  Glaucous Gull. Really a stunning bird.
I checked the flock just now but didn't see it, although with the off shore winds here today there were more gulls sitting on the ocean, so it could still be around.
Have put some photos on my ebird list, link below.
