Patty, thank you for the information. In addition to your link on the USFWS website about Bird Festival Planner, it lists bird festivals by month. This is the time to start planning and getting information for those interested in going to a festival. One must remember that lodging at these events can be a limiting factor. For an event like the Biggest Week In Birding at Magee Marsh, I make room reservations the Fall before the May event. For that one, I also look at the Bar Chart to see when my target birds show up, and some species arrive after the Biggest Week main festival.
For birds, timing is essential.
