My 10 year old grandson had a major corrective leg surgury in November and has been using a wheelchair to get around. He has been a real trooper and is doing well and in good spirits.
I took him for a nature walk out to the Oceano Campground trail the other day and we had a good time. We were on the lookout for any type of wildlife, but of course the birds there were the star. At one point when we were examining a Double-crested Cormorant, he said, I'd really like to see an owl. I asked him why and he said he'd read so many storys and books with owls in them and they were really cool.
So this Saturday morning looks like a good time for us to go out. If anyone know where a great horned owl might be roosting or sees one Saturday morning we would be up for the chase. If you have any tips please contact me directly at <losthillsguy...> or 805 610 5186
