This morning I found one Lewis’s Woodpecker on the utility poles by the school on Wilds Road. Also present were at least 13 Steller’s Jays, a single Woodhouse’s Scrub Jay and several more common species. The Jays were in and out of the oak trees and the mesquite grove by the church next door.
Nice group of birds to start the year.
Nothing new at Arthur Pack, though a Prairie Falcon is always a welcome sight. Only had time for two of the three ponds.
