I started out by birding the Santa Maria River Mouth almost all the way down to Mussel Rock. I failed to find the LT Duck or any eiders. I did see 5 Black Scoters.
The river mouth had White-fronted, Snow and Ross's Geese. The gull flock included a couple of Thayer's Iceland Gulls. It was interesting to see the massive difference in RB Gull numbers between the SM River Mouth (>100) and the Santa Ynez River Mouth (<10).
The Black Road pasture held only a flock of coots. Ocean Park had a couple of Thayer's Iceland Gulls and lots of birds but nothing of real note.
